Smash Derby Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

Smash Derby is a demolition-derby game for iPhone and iPad made by an independent developer. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. The short version: the app has no accounts, collects no personal information, shows no ads, and the only data that leaves your device is what is needed to process purchases you choose to make and to keep your progress safe in your own iCloud.

Information we do not collect

Smash Derby does not ask for or collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or any other personal information. There is no sign-up and no login.

Game progress and iCloud

Game progress (coins, unlocked cars, pets and arenas, settings, and a record of purchases made) is stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for the app, a copy is also kept in your own iCloud account so your progress follows you to a new or restored device. That copy is held by Apple on your behalf; we cannot see or access it. You can turn it off in your device’s iCloud settings.

Purchases

Coins, cars, pets and arenas can optionally be bought with real money. Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store using your Apple ID; we never see your payment details. Every purchase is preceded by a short arithmetic check so it is deliberate.

To deliver and verify purchases the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-processing service. When a purchase is made, RevenueCat receives the App Store receipt, a randomly generated anonymous identifier for this installation, and basic device information (device model, operating system version, app version, country and language). So that purchases and refunds can be honoured and support requests answered, and so that we can see which items players like, the app also sends RevenueCat a short summary of game progress tied to that anonymous identifier: which cars, pets and arenas are unlocked, which of them were bought with real money, which locked items were looked at and not bought, the coin balance, and counts of purchases and refunds. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email or Apple ID. RevenueCat’s own privacy policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Advertising and analytics

Smash Derby contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking software; the summary described under Purchases above is the only information about play sent to anyone but your own iCloud. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share data with data brokers.

Children’s privacy

Smash Derby is suitable for all ages and is played by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information, there is nothing to review or delete. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app in some way we have not anticipated, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and deletion

Game progress on your device is removed when you delete the app. The copy in your iCloud account stays until you remove it (Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Storage). Purchase records held by Apple are subject to Apple’s policies. The anonymous purchase records and progress summary held by RevenueCat are kept as long as needed to honour purchases; contact us to request their deletion.

The app links to Apple’s standard licence agreement from the Shop. No other external links are present.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
